Open Lates are back for 2018!
We're happy to announce that the Zoo will stay open late every Thursday from 1 February to 22 March.
Make the most of the summer nights: visit after work with mates, make it a date night or just enjoy a stroll through the beautiful grounds.
Zoo Lates encounter schedule:
- 5.15pm – Seal
- 5.15pm - NZ birds at The Forest
- 5.30pm – Galápagos tortoise
- 5.30pm – Otters
- 5.45pm – Capybara & squirrel monkey
- 5.45pm – Flamingo
- 6pm – Lace monitor
- 6pm – Serval
- 6pm – Elephant
- 6.15pm – Kea
- 6.15pm – Spider monkey
- 6.30pm – Red panda
- 6.45pm – Rhino
- 7pm – Tasmanian devils
- 7pm – Leopard tortoise
- 7.15pm – Red tailed black cockatoo
- All evening - Impromptu animal experience encounters
The Night exhibit (where our kiwi live) is closed from 5.45pm.
This exhibit runs on a reversed day-night cycle, and is closed to allow the nocturnal animals to sleep.
While you're enjoying the Zoo, make sure to visit our interactive science exhibition Bug Lab, which will also remain open late. Please note, Open Lates ticket holders' must also purchase a Bug Lab ticket to visit the exhibition.
